As National Freight Sales Account Representative, you will leverage your existing book of business and expand your network to grow Whiteline Express’ business. You’ll formulate mutually-beneficial solutions, as you source and negotiate contracts with shippers within our primary areas of operation.
You Will
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with customers by staying in constant communication to ensure that both long and short-term needs are met.
- Utilize multiple sales techniques to generate lead activities for new and incremental business, including cold calling, networking, visiting customer sites and other opportunity prospecting methods.
- Meet with current and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities to understand their business needs, identify scope, submit proposals, finalize the contracts and win the business.
- Coordinate with internal teams and the customer to implement the best solution for the customer, including participation in kick-off activities and understanding contractual obligations to facilitate customer needs.
- Develop sales proposals and present pricing information to customers.
- Monitor and report market trends and conditions, the health of the accounts, KPIs, revenue quality, and additional opportunities to expand business to Whiteline management.
- Review contracts and pay terms to ensure adherence to agreements.
You Have
- Minimum of five years of successful freight business development and sales, with an established book of business.
- Minimum of three years of national account sales success.
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry sales and truckload rating.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A results-driven approach, where you set goals and use KPIs to achieve.
- A competitive nature and high degree of motivation.
- Superior relationship and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to travel to customer sites to meet the needs of business.
