Job Description Summary

Work collaboratively with the Human Resources Department to support the integrity and completeness of the HRIS database. This position is responsible for the overall HR customer services function, maintenance of HR systems, HR intranet page and HR reporting. Ensure all personnel records are maintained appropriately in compliance with records retention guidelines. Help maintain data integrity in the system by running queries and analyzing data.

Job Description

  • Act as WorkDay super user – includes resolving and triaging ServiceNow tickets, researching, auditing and correcting system errors

  • Responsible for personnel records management to include organizing and maintenance of all HR files. Coordinate and conduct imaging and indexing of all personnel files. File all personnel and payroll documents according to established guidelines

  • Work with Equifax to provide staff and employment verification

  • Serve as lead resource for SiteCore input and maintenance of the HR intranet site. Ensure that information is up to date so that HR customers have the tools and resources needed. Seek out new opportunities to promote HR functionality using intranet.

  • Create and maintain a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in the system by running queries and analyzing data.

  • Establish and maintain up-to-date HRIS functional departmental documentation, standard operating process and procedures

  • Actively participate and make contributions in team meetings and one-on-one meetings.

  • Provide general office support to include: receiving, directing and relaying telephone message to the appropriate staff member

  • Reply to HR emails and or triaging to the correct contact

  • Provide guidance and support on new filing system OnBase and legacy system DataMagine

  • Assist team with updating SharePoint site for Paid Parental Leave approval process

  • Update and maintain HR Directory group/contact list, the MUSC Physicians HR Email Box

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date end-user training manuals and materials

  • Assist other teams in special projects and other duties as assigned

Additional Job Description

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s, Associates degree, or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position. One to two years of HR or HRIS experience required. Must have strong data entry and organizational skills. Requires Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Must be extremely discreet with confidential information. Accuracy is a must.

Degree of Supervision:

Must be able to perform duties with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20 lbs (+/-) unassisted. Lift from 36” to overhead 15 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces
