We are seeking a talented multimedia designer to join Ascent Classical Academies' in-house marketing team. You will be working closely with the Golden team and marketing coordinators on each campus to design and produce excellent visual, textual, and animated content for print and digital media. Successful candidates must have a high attention to detail and excellent personal communication skills.

This position reports to the director of marketing and communications in the home office and is responsible for implementing and continuously improving in the following areas of work:

  • Developing multimedia content such as print and digital materials including, but not limited to, brochures, banners, campus signage, promotional materials, stationery, websites, static and animated digital advertisements, and presentations
  • Uphold and enforce the ACA brand and editorial standards as outlined in the Branding and Editorial Style Guide
  • Performing in-depth research and gathering materials to create accurate designs and visual effects
  • Editing content based on the feedback of the marketing team and Ascent's stakeholders
  • Clear, accurate, and professional communications
  • Professionalism in appearance and speech
  • Work harmoniously and collaboratively with other employees as needed
  • Punctuality and attendance
  • Initiative, effort, and willingness to take direction
  • Maintenance of strong relations with parents and the greater school community

Compensation Range:
$55,000-60,000 annually, highly dependent on experience and qualifications


Schedule and Classification:

All Ascent Classical Academies employees exhibit strong character, passion for excellence, and a relentless commitment to the development of knowledge and virtue in young people. The communications and marketing coordinator should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication design, multimedia design, or a related field
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in multimedia design aligned to corporate branding guidelines
  • A portfolio of published work showcasing your skills and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, Acrobat)
  • Excellent knowledge of storyboarding and visual design principals
  • Proven knowledge of print and digital production requirements
  • Artistic with a keen eye for aesthetics and visually appealing content
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional computer skills, including familiarity with traditional office programs (Microsoft or Google)
  • Proven knowledge of marketing and communications ethics and best practices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic HTML or CSS design preferred
  • Experience with email marketing software such as MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, or a similar program preferred
