Position: Mobile Advocate Care Coordinator

This is a Grant-Funded position through October, 2023. Continuation of employment is dependent on addition funding.

Supervisor: Mobile Victim Advocate Leader

Job Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt/Hourly

Position Summary:

The Mobile Advocate Care Coordinator provides a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy for options and services to meet a domestic violence victim’s needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide individualized Case Management services for victims of domestic violence

· Assess client needs with emphasis on assisting clients in enrollment in public programs including but not limited to (AHCCCS, Nutrition assistance, Social Security, housing etc.)

· Assist clients with applying for Criminal Restitution, Victim Compensation and the Address Confidentiality Program

· Interface with agencies, probation officers, courts, and attorneys on behalf of victims of domestic violence

· Provide criminal justice support in the form of court accompaniment, victim impact statements, transportation and case updates

· Coordinate with community partners to provide wrap around services and follow-up

· Perform crisis intervention and safety planning to callers and walk-in clients with a Trauma Informed Care approach;

· Document all client contact and pertinent information in the Apricot system

· Maintain and adhere to applicable policies and procedures according to state licensure requirements

· Attend Chrysalis’ required meetings and supervision sessions

· Attend training for professional and agency requirements

· Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Core Competencies

· Knowledge of community services, resources and programs available to victims of domestic abuse

· Ability to be self-paced

· Ability to keep and maintain confidentiality

· Ability to cultivate solution-focused problem solving and critical thinking

· Ability to network and form partnerships with courts systems, community resources, etc.

· Strong public speaking and facilitation skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Clean driving record with a defensive driving approach.

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelors in social services, criminal justice, or related field.

· Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with victims of domestic violence or other trauma survivors

Other Requirements:

· Working knowledge of Office software—word processing, spreadsheets, and database

· Ability to utilize effective communication skills

· Ability to travel to different locations within Maricopa county

· Fingerprint clearance card through AZDPS or ability to obtain one

· Must have or be able to obtain current CPR/First Aid certification

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

· Walk

· Stand and or sit for extended periods

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Must provide own transportation and automobile insurance and have the ability to travel throughout the community; must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance as required by Chrysalis and ADHS licensure requirements; must maintain current CPR and first aid training as required by Chrysalis policies; must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine as required by Chrysalis policy.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess knowledge and understanding of standard office equipment; be proficient with personal computers and applicable software programs. Effectively communicate (verbal and written). Due to state licensing requirements, applicants must be a minimum 21 years of age.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
