Lube Technician

Job Description ---

• Industry: Lumber
• Wage: Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
• Years’ Experience Required: 2 years of lubrication technician experience.

Requirements:

• An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair.
• Demonstrated experience with servicing equipment.
• Passing a drug screening and background check.
• Time management and organizational skills as well as hand-eye coordination.
• Effective communication skills and working with others to service their equipment.
• The ability to read and follow directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports.
• The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time, and lifting over 60 pounds.
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, & power steering, fuel, coolant & hydraulic .
• Inspecting the engine, hydraulic and coolant system for leaks and potential issues.
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
• Clean & install equipment air filters, window shield wiper blades.
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and pivot point on the mass and lift cylinder of the lift-truck.
• Creating detailed service reports for each piece of equipment in a CMSS computer system.
