Job description
- Provide clinical services (conducting diagnostic assessments utilizing DSM-V TR, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and discharge planning) for clients.
- Be responsible for delivering a variety of mental health services which may include individual session, intake evaluations, crisis intervention, assessment, and post-release planning.
- Ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Maintaining a caseload and keeping accurate session notes
- Provide Crisis assistance as needed.
- Attend and participate in individual supervision, case consultation, and other meetings as required by TGMG.
- Comply with DSHS, Federal contract, state (TDCJ) contract, and insurance standards for clinical documentation.
- Strictly comply with licensing board rules and Codes of Ethics
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide direct clinical care and consultation services in accordance with the company policies and procedures, policies and procedures of TGMG, and in accordance with the ethical standards of relevant professional organizations (e.g., NASW, APA).
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, patients, and business associates of TGMG
- Discuss with patients, when necessary, the area of billing/ copays, etc.
- Adhere to additional directives by applicable direct clinical and administrative supervisors.
- Gain an understanding of relevant accreditation standards, work with both facility staff and outside support agencies to facilitate patient treatment, and provide consultation and training as needed to staff on issues relevant to suicide prevention and the prevention and treatment of psychological disorders.
- Implements or recommends appropriate changes to improve customer service, effectiveness, and efficiency that support the goals of TGMG. When necessary, provides appropriate community referrals, and follows up to ensure patient access to care.
Requirements:
- A master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, clinical counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, or similar field from a regionally accredited academic program.
- Must comply with requirements for licensure or board certification as a mental health professional including supervised practice in the delivery of mental health services for the treatment of mental illness. Associate licensure will be considered.
