Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is seeking 2 part-time Medical Technologist to join our Pathology Department!

Essential Functions:

• May collect specimens for laboratory testing as required, appropriate to the age of the patient (neonate, pediatric, adult or geriatric) under the philosophy, policies and procedures established by the hospital and department.
• Prepares specimens for analysis within established guidelines.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance procedures within established parameters. Ensures quality and timeliness of patient test results by investigating problems involving specimen collection, result reporting and turnaround time. Recognizes appropriate and inappropriate selection of all lab tests.
• Evaluates, interprets and reports test results. Identifies technical, instrumental and/or physiologic causes of unexpected test results. Applies lab results to disease or patient therapy. Analyzes laboratory computer applications to manage data.

Requirements:

• A.S.C.P. Certification, NYS License
• Licensure: NYS License- Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry.
