We have a position available for an energetic, independent, proactive individual for our internal medicine office which is located at Alta View Hospital. Previous experience in the medical field is very helpful, however, this job is perfect for someone wanting experience before applying to nursing school or other areas of the medical profession. The responsibilities of the job include scheduling appointments, coordinating prescription refills, discussing laboratory and other test results with patients. We will work with you over time to improve your medical knowledge and assist you in learning all of the necessary aspects of the job. There is a nursing component to the position which we will help train you to learn and those skills include taking vitals signs, answering incoming calls, working on an EMR system, writing referrals, collecting copays, insurance verification, and data entry.
