Job description
We are looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our highly skilled General Surgeons office in Cedar City, Utah.
Prerequisites:
- Be available Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Closed Fridays)
- Phone and in-person etiquette
- Happy and positive personality
- Well organized individual
- Ability to make proactive autonomous decisions
- Ability to adapt, multi-task and support co-workers to ensure a cohesive patient experience
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Answer and return calls to patients and other offices
- Promptly and professionally assist patients and physicians
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures and exams (preparation and clean up)
- Sanitize and stock exam rooms
- Sterilize and organize instruments
- Organize patient results & documents into our EMR
- Schedule patients for surgery
- Coordinate surgery schedule for doctors with the appropriate facility
Preferences (preferred but not required):
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Previous experience working in a medical practice, especially as a medical assistant
- Experience utilizing various software (ex: Excel, Word, Electronic Medical Records, etc)
