Robotics Automation Engineer (mechanical design & robotic welding exp. req.) Description

Our client is looking for a Robotics Automation Engineer to join their innovative team in Chattanooga and make a tangible impact on the future of engineering. As part of their dynamic team, you'll have the opportunity to lead the design on a variety of projects, mentor junior engineers, and be a part of groundbreaking product development. Robotics Automation Engineer (mechanical design & robotic welding exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for mechanical design projects
• Design equipment to meet customer requirements
• Lead tooling projects and ensure key deliverables are met
• Review customer specifications and design equipment
• Ensure timely ordering of purchased parts with accurate due dates
• Evaluate designs to ensure accuracy, progress, and application
• Train and mentor junior engineers and assist with continued development
• Participate and conduct customer design reviews
• Ensure the accuracy of all design work prior to release
• Communicate cross-functionally to ensure project milestones
• Maintain oversight of projects to ensure quality, cost, and timeliness

Robotics Automation Engineer (mechanical design & robotic welding exp. req.) Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience required
• Recent experience with robotic automation required
• Background with tooling and robotics weld systems required
• Ability to work on-site each day required
