Fluidra’s looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our Built Right facility in Punta Gorda, FL.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Fluidra is seeking a design/project engineer to support our pool and spa heat pump equipment line. This position will work closely with product managers, manufacturing, buyers and engineers to launch projects on time while meeting our high-quality standards. He or she should have proven experience in product design and be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced workplace. We are looking for an engineer with an innovative mind and superb problem-solving abilities.

· To be a key project and technical leader supporting pool and spa heat pump products.

· Contribute to a project team including design engineers, product managers, buyers, and quality engineers.

· Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.

· Analyze part designs using sound engineering principles, FEA software and the utilization of in-house prototyping methods.

· Hands on testing and troubleshooting in the lab and field.

· Work with suppliers to identify sourced components and solve problems.

· Develop test plans and overseeing qualification.

· Project planning including resource, timelines, and cost estimates.

WHAT WE SEEK

· 5+ or more years of mechanical engineering experience focusing on new product development.

· Proficient mechanical design skills using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

· Prior experience with the NPD process with cross functional teams.

· Ability to work effectively independently, as a project leader and as a team member.

· Ability to adopt the user mindset while making design decisions.

· Ability to lead meetings and communicate in small group settings.

· Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis and identify a solution.

· Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities.

· Willing and experienced in travelling domestically and overseas as needed.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or other related field
