Job Description
The Mechanic II will perform skilled, complex troubleshooting, repair, modification, installation, and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, winery, vehicles, fixtures, and systems.
Responsibilities:
-
Perform skilled welding, electrical repair, fabrication, mechanical repair, refrigeration and HVAC repair, liquid and gas plumbing, and other mechanical tasks

Read and interpret schematics for electrical, mechanical, piping, fabrication and construction projects
-
Able to troubleshoot, build and install high/low voltage control distribution panels, circuits utilizing switches, relays, transformers, and breakers, along with other electrical components

Solid understanding of PLC’s – VFD’s along with basic programming skills
-
Train Mechanic I workers to advance their skills
-
Identify and report needed maintenance and facility repairs to Maintenance Manager

Utilize variety of hand and portable power tools
-
Assist in the movement of materials and equipment

Responsible for compliance with CWUS sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

Safety – follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to operate vehicles

Must be forklift certified

Must understand cooling systems
-
Will be expected to read blueprints and diagrams

Must have strong reasoning and troubleshooting skills

Will regularly use hand tools

Must have basic math and writing skills
-
Must be able to use the metric system
-
Must be able to climb ladders, work from heights and in small spaces and be physically agile to perform required work

Must be able to recognize hazards
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.

Travel Required: 10-20%

The salary range for this role is:
$27.31 - $43.62
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
