Material Handler 1- AMP Research 2nd Shift-Receiving Department
Summary – Removes waste from working areas. Empties receptacles into the recycle bins. Unloads and receives materials within the facility. Locates and stocks inbound material into inventory and floor locations. Performs stocking function within the facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Opens containers.
- Unloads materials from pallets, trays, racks, bins, and shelves by hand.
- Moves materials from storage or work locations to designated areas.
- Performs check in process of raw material received.
- Counts, and verifies number of units received against vendor packing slips.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, pallets, or other containers.
- Performs kitting operations.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of BPCS and AS400 receiving process, including scan gun operation.
