Work Hours: M-F (40 hours)
Work Location: Largo, FL
Shift: 1st shift (7:00 am-3:30 pm EDT)
Summary:
- This position is responsible for the receiving, distribution, storing, and maintenance of inventory items. May oversee other materials employees, give direction, and prioritize work.
Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
- Controls and maintains the flow of material through the storeroom through production or distribution.
- Assists in supporting cycle count program and performing cycle counts.
- May coordinate the daily activities of the storeroom or shipping clerks.
- May prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Contact vendors.
- May use and operate forklift equipment.
- Understand and apply the standards for control of ESD.
- Follows all applicable released procedures (i.e. QSR's, RG, TGS, MI's) and documents results on applicable forms.
- Receive incoming material into the facility in accordance with procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate software application skills required.
- Must have experience with Electronic Inventory Management Systems (MRP / ERP).
- Must be comfortable with being trained to operate forklift. Previous experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 38 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 65 lbs.
Education / Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience, required.
- Previous experience using Electronic Inventory Management Systems (MRP / ERP), required.
- Previous experience operating forklift equipment, strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; follow SOPs; team oriented
- Intermediate software application skills required.
- Previous experience within a GMP environment.
