Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Master Trainer is responsible for developing and continually improving a training program based on Training Within Industry (TWI) and Job Instruction (JI) methods. This includes training and assisting assigned employees, including managers and supervisors, in developing the required skills to develop training content and teach them how to deliver one-on-one training to their team members. The Trainer will work with managers and supervisors to develop a plan, learn TWI Job Instruction skills and methods and track the competency of their employees in their assigned department. The Trainer has the responsibility to improve training program and training techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and continually improves effective training programs applying TWI Job Instruction, and Lean principles and techniques.
- Establishes and documents opportunities for training and process improvement.
- Performs train the trainer education to department/division management and leadership.
- Participates in the improvement process with stakeholders and pharmacy leaders.
- Sets criteria and evaluates manager’s performance on training staff and using the TWI Job Instruction methods established.
- Establishes system for maintaining and improving training program and documentation.
- Performs audit to ensure training is effective and standards are being held.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Adult Learning or related field
- Four years training with adults in a production environment
- Experienced with instructional design, course materials creation, supporting communications, instructing, facilitating and performance support
- Required to complete full TUKHS Lean training within 12 months of hire if candidate is not certified in Lean or Lean Six Sigma Must receice TWI Institute Job Instruction certification (10hr), implement Job Instruction and then complete and course (40hr)
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, facilitating and project management skills.
- The Master Trainer must apply techniques to ensure the success of all types of learners
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Job Relations and Job Methods certification
- Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Training Within Industry, Job Instruction certification
