Marina Painter and Repair Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time painter and boat repairmen that is enthusiastic and looking to further their career in the marina industry. We operate one of the largest recreational marina and boat yards in Connecticut. This is an opportunity to work in a pristine, waterfront environment, in one of the most beautiful places on the Connecticut shoreline. Our staff are veterans in the industry and work in a very high level environment. We are looking for an employee that is willing to learn, assist, and support. This specific job requires an employee to have a basic knowledge of repair and painting. The employee will be expected to be able to do repair work with only minor training.

Boat Painter and Repair Requirements:

• Employee must be able to work in a physically demanding environment
• Is responsible for assisting in paint and body repairs to vessels
• Ability to operate scissor and boom lifts up to 30/ft
• Adhere to boat yard safety practices
• Apply surface coating applications with brush & roll technique
• Apply surface coating application with airless and conventional sprayers
• Experience working with half-face and full-face respiratory equipment
• Is willing to assist in other yard duties, as needed, outside the direct scope of the job
• Cannot be afraid of heights
• Is able to swim
• Assist in shrink wrap duties, which include using an open flame torch
• Assist in hauling/launching/blocking of boats
• Able to Detail a boat properly
• Desire to learn and grow within the marina environment
• Willing to assist in varied yard duties
