Manager of Emergency Services

Emergency Department

The Manager of Emergency Services is a registered nurse who is responsible for the administrative management on a 24 hour basis. Management includes leading, planning, organizing, and improving patient care; meeting standards; preparation and control of budget; personnel management; development of goals and compliance with Quality Assurance Programs. The Manager will assist with emergency management activities and will attend and represent on hospital committee meetings. The Manager will co-chair the Department of Emergency Medicine Committee and will be the liaison with local EMS services. The Manager will co-lead the Joint Commission Stroke Readiness Program with the Stroke Coordinator. The Manager will collaborate with the Medical Director of the Emergency Department for best practices and standards of care.

Maryland or Multi-State Registered Nurse license required. BSN Degree required within one year in position. Master’s Degree preferred. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. TNCC certification preferred. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification within one year in position preferred. Approximately 3-5 years of administrative experience. 5 years or greater of experience as an Emergency Department nurse. Clear communication skills required. Conflict management experience required.

  • Dayshift, M-F
  • On-Call as needed
