You’ll lead a team with the objective of transforming how American engages business travelers with a focus on owned channels and the AAdvantage program. You will collaborate with counterparts throughout the commercial organization to bring new products and programs to market that will revolutionize the value customers get from traveling and engaging with American.
What you'll do
Motivate a team to deliver long term commercial sustainability by proficiently engaging customer audiences within companies of all types, size, and scale with existing and new American business partnerships- Execute data-driven commercial strategies by gathering, expanding, and analyzing customer intelligence
- Lead industry disruption and deliver change management solutions at scale
- Engage team to drive quality revenue behaviors through an established Loyalty currency and wider Loyalty adoption
- Capture Co-Brand card opportunities throughout the customer pipeline
- Implement comprehensive commercial programs through streamlined go-to-market sales processes
- Drive incremental direct booking revenues and grow diversified ancillary streams through modern retailing
- Be an American Airlines product expert and brand ambassador to effectively communicate our customer experience journey, operational reliability, organizational efficiencies, and commercial value propositions
- Identify and leverage competitive advantages through differentiation & monetization of our world class network for American’s business partnerships
- Increase consumer awareness of American’s unique Joint Business, oneworld and Alliance Partner ecosystems
- Capture incremental customer upsell revenue in key American markets
- Maximize commercial margins across comprehensive B2B and B2C traveler ecosystems
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years of experience in sales or related field with direct experience in driving customer engagement, change & transformation
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development and execution, and maintain a focus on the future
- Ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis and adjust priorities, as necessary, to meet shifting deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving; ability to solve problems creatively and tenaciously with high comfortability in working in ambiguity
- Action oriented, results-driven leader with a natural aptitude for engaging & developing team members
