JOB TITLE: Mammography Technician (Part-Time or Full Time, we are flexible!)

LOCATION: Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto, TX

MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST REQUIREMENTS:

• License/Certification - please do not apply if you do not have these!
• Currently California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Mammography and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Education: Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Experience: Minimum one (2) year of experience as a radiologic technologist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Minimum 2 year experience as a mammography technologist.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Performs screening, diagnostic and interventional mammography procedures.
• Operates mammography equipment & Develops films and coordinates patient care with other patient services.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
• Experience on Hologic Selenia Mammography Equipment preferable.
• Position patients, using immobilization when necessary. Calculate exposure factors.
• Perform the quality control functions related to mammography including but not limited to initial set-up and certification of equipment, preventive maintenance and ensuring accuracy of digital images by testing and other QA measures as appropriate.
• Evaluate mammography images for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• electronic charting and/or paperwork for transmission and interpretation.
• Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures.
• Participate in team-based activities on a routine basis.
• Participate in a QI, QA, QC activities with documented outcomes.
• Monitor mammography section procedures and supply charges to ensure completeness and accuracy.
