Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a automotive manufacturer in the Muskegon area and are looking to direct hire a Maintenance Technician on all 3 shifts. Candidates must have experience working with PLC's, electrical, hydraulics and lock out tag out.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping.
• Advanced mechanical skills
• Advanced electrical knowledge
• Understanding the basics of PLC operations. Advanced knowledge preferred.
• Types of cards
• Meaning of indicator lights
• HMI navigation.
• Difference between upload/download, input/output, analog/discrete etc.
• Identify 480v 270v 120v ac as well as low voltage dc.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Identify common electrical and mechanical symbols.
• Locate and identify power distribution to stand alone equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of machinery operations
• General knowledge of robotics and automation
• Identify major components involved with industrial automation and their uses/purpose. Must be able to visually identify VFDs, contactors, power supplies etc. in an industrial cabinet.
• Advanced knowledge of power transmission such as gear boxes and motors
• Display proficiency with a multimeter.
• Able to identify high/low voltage
• 480, 277, 120VAC and 24/12/5VDC.
• Ability to verify locked out voltage source is isolated and safe for work

Maintenance Tech Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing repairs to machinery, including at least 3 year’s experience in electrical repair.
• High School Diploma or GED minimum.
• Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hands and hand tools (welding, wrenches, etc.) in mechanically oriented situation.
• Good working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and write and to follow detailed written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, sit, bend and move freely about the plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
