POSITION INFO:

This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department and reports to the Shift Maintenance Supervisor.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting and providing service to the Machine Shop and Assembly Departments through lubrication and preventative maintenance, and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
A minimum of 40 hours / week is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily housekeeping activities.
  • Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Work closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiency.
  • Lubricate assigned production machines in Machine Shop and Assembly, and machines in Tool Room.
  • Manage tester oil/water separator.
  • Manage waste oil, solvents and other regulated wastes.
  • Promote lean manufacturing in all processes.
  • Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor.


EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical aptitude with hands on experience is preferred.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Must be able to work with close tolerances

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:


  • Ability to climb stair occasionally.

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Work in high locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently
  • Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally.

This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control. A minimum of 40 hours / week is required.

Internal applicants must meet the following criteria: 1) If the posted position is an hourly or salary level 1, the associate must be in their current position for 18 (eighteen) months; 2) if the position is salary level 2 to salary level 5, the associate must be in their current position for 24 (twenty-four) months; and 3) if the position is a salary level 6 or above, the associate must be in their current position for 30 (thirty) months.
