Nordson MEDICAL designs, engineers and manufactures complex devices and components with applications in wound healing, surgical and minimally invasive, fluid management, pulmonology and interventional and structural heart. Our pioneering Advanced Polymers team was the first to manufacture and supply medical balloons to the medical device industry. Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.

Maintenance Technicians in carrying out their various duties, not limited to:

• Repair, clean, lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• PM equipment and manage PM data in IFS computer program. Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to install or replace machinery, equipment, new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
• Must be competent to perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Must be competent to perform repairs of building and associated mechanical systems
• Adjust, maintain, and repair production equipment and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks.

Candidate will also oversee and manage Critical Equipment List/Spare parts list

Facilities Maintenance:

Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
Clean outside drains, skimmers and sewer grates as needed. Change A/C filters semi-annually, as needed

• Building electrical lighting repairs and enhancements, emergency lights replacements.
• Attend to emergencies when necessary.
• Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
• Take classes as required in First Aid, CPR, and Corporate training.

PHYSICAL & OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *

The Maintenance Technician shall, at minimum, meet the following pre-hire

qualifications;

Ø Ability to sit / stand for long periods.

Ø Ability to climb and work off ladders.

Ø Ability to read small print and to see at normal distances.

Ø Ability to write clearly and legibly.

Ø Ability to hear within normal ranges in person and on telephone.

Ø Ability to speak clearly in person and on telephone.

Ø Ability to project a positive and competent Company image to

customers.

Ø Ability to lift 55lbs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The Maintenance Technician shall, at minimum, have the following pre-hire

qualifications;

Ø High school diploma, technical college preferred.

Ø Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings,

Ø Ability to read and understand electrical schematics,

Ø 5 years’ experience hands on equipment repair,

Ø Knowledge of extrusion processing equipment,

Ø Must be able to program/troubleshoot and maintain electronic control

systems including PLCs and Temperature control units.

Ø Experienced working with building electrical to 480 VDC.

Ø Knowledge and experience of facility utilities mechanical and electrical systems.

Ø Experience in manual and computer-based documentation control

and development,

Ø Ability to communicate well in person, in writing, and by telephone with customers and other company personnel.

Ø Must be a team player, as well as being able to work independently.
