As a Maintenance Engineer Level II, you will provide guidance to the engineering team. Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and cost of maintenance processes, as well as projects. This role is also responsible for fostering a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination, employee engagement, and application/practice of lean theory.

Main activities and responsibilities:
Manage your Maintenance organization against set safety, quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and engaging with your team. Continue the implementation of World Class Manufacturing, which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees.

Full accountability and ownership of UAW relations, project follow up, midterm road map (0-1 year) and policy deployment from plant to operator level. Responsible for validating electrical pneumatics of the equipment in the facility as well as determining/recommending incoming equipment in relations to UL standards for Washington County, MD. Responsible for driving innovation pertaining to related industrial equipment.

Education, critical competencies and experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years technical experience in a manufacturing environment OR eight years minimum combined post-high school education and experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge in an automotive and industrial environment is essential. Solid communication skills including working with cross functional teams are essential to build networks and create trusting relationships.
