Job description

Maintenance Director Responsibilities:

• Plan work schedules to ensure adequate service and coverage.

• Perform all employment actions and decisions for the maintenance Department.

• Inspect all work in progress completed by staff or outside contractors and maintains checklists.

• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of all areas of the building, coordinating with the Maintenance Department for any needed repairs.

• Train staff and conduct in-services for staff.

• Maintain strict inventory and order supplies as needed.

• Maintain all files and records consistent with the adequate functioning of the department.

• Performs regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

Maintenance Director Requirements:

• Prior experience managing maintenance staff in a health care facility.

• Experience working and managing employees in a health care facility strongly preferred.

• A pleasant and courteous demeanor when dealing with peers, staff, guest, residents and management.

• Must be very thorough with maintenance practices.

• Experience providing maintenance services in a fast paced environment.

• Superb stress management skills.

• Strong communication skills; both written and oral.

• Valid Florida drivers license and reliable transportation

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
