Role: Junklugger Driver and Navigator

Junkluggers is hiring! Junkluggers is a caring alternative to traditional junk removal, committed to enhancing lives, the community, and the environment around us by donating & recycling unwanted items from both residential and commercial customers, all while supporting local charities.

As a Lugger, you will play a huge part in lifting the load off people in the community and making a positive impact on the environment. What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
A typical day involves going out to scheduled jobs, with you as the Navigator and/or Driver with the Junkluggers truck and carefully loading the customer’s unwanted items into the truck. Once a job is completed, you will then transport the items either back to the Luggers depot or a donation center where you will assist in unloading the items safely in accordance with state and local laws. As it arises, you will also help maintain trucks and equipment as well as attend mandatory training, meetings, or events. It’s vital that throughout the workday you be diligent about safety and promote that type of culture at Junkluggers. It is also important to embrace continuous improvement and implement new practices when asked. We’re a team here at Junkluggers, so we are always open to input and enjoy building off one another so we can be as safe and efficient with our work as possible!

Job Requirements:

• Valid NYS Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle record and willingness to drive the Junkluggers truck.
• Own Mobile Phone.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Willingness to learn skills of both the Navigator and Driver Positions.
• Ability to work well as a team in the field and show potential for advancement.
• Strong safety attitude and assertive in following safety practices and other company policies.

Job Type: Full-Time M-F 8-5 plus some Saturdays

Pay: $18/hr + customer tips.
