JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met. Attends to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (diploma)
- License for Practical Nursing and AHA CPR Certification
- Basic computer skills; Synquest; IV Pump; Phillips Monitoring System; Accucheck; EKG Machine, Specialty Bed Operation
UNIT SUMMARY:
Hall 1 is a 40-45 bed long-term care unit that offers residents daily activities along with a wide range of services and support. Hall 1 is sub acute rehabilitation with high complexity of needs. Staff members in Hall 1 must be compassionate, motivated and dedicated to helping others in need.
Levindale Patient Care Services offers a Nursing Career Ladder that allows opportunities for advancement and development of Licensed Practical Nurses. The Clinical Career ladder level for new hires will be determined through defined ladder criteria during the hiring process.
