Job description

We are looking for a responsible Lead Logistics Technician to manage the daily outbound and inbound shipments of a growing manufacturing firm. This individual is responsible for inputting data into our MIS system, preparing packages for shipments and determining appropriate shipping carriers for deliveries. A Logistics Technician must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must have adequate physical strength to handle packages as well as computer and administrative skills to update records.

Responsibilities

• Input data into computer system – shipping information, paper allocations and receipt of raw materials, inventory transactions.
• Prepare skids and cartons for shipment including taping, labeling and shrink-wrapping.
• Determine appropriate carrier for shipment and make arrangement for pickup. Pick and pack orders from finished goods products.
• Daily cleaning of the Warehouse/Logistics areas as scheduled.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with basic procedures exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Perform production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, process and ship orders.
• Follow all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s)
• Work as part of a team.

Skills

• 1-2 years previous logistics experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
