Loan Services Specialist
Job description
The Loan Services Specialist will be responsible for loan funding and modifications. Maintains correspondence, invoices, member files, and other classified or indexed records so that they are easy to retrieve when needed. Searches and investigates information contained in files, insert additional data, prepares reports, and supplies written information on request. Verifies loan documents for completeness, and appropriate documentation, and records necessary information into systems.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Delivers an exceptional member experience by actively listening to our member’s needs through various communication channels. Uncovers financial solutions through conversations and recommends credit union products and services that support the member's financial goals. Maintains current knowledge of all credit union services, policies, and promotions.
- Checks and dates incoming material, sorts, and files it according to the established filing system. Retrieves materials as requested, records where the material is, and follows up to insure it is replaced in the appropriate file.
- Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on title abstracts, insurance forms, and other required documents.
- Records loan information in the log and on government reporting forms.
- Reviews loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of loan, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
- Reviews approved loans to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing.
- Performs Loan Services Processor duties as needed.
Schedule:
This is not a remote position. It is in-person for the entire workweek.
- Rotating schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:45 am to 4:30 pm OR 8:45 am to 5:30 pm
- Rotating Friday Schedule: 8:45 am to 5:30 pm OR 9 am to 6 pm
- Saturday hours may be required
- Hours are subject to change based on operational needs

- Loan servicing or loan processing experience is required
- Experience with indirect loans and mortgage servicing highly preferred
- Work involves contact with credit union team members and outside vendors, requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
- General office equipment such as computers, copiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to learn and adapt to new technology and processes.
- Understanding of credit union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and work-related information.
