LIS Support Manager
REMOTE || Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple LIS systems including software and hardware components.
- Understand the capabilities and how to best leverage the Epic Beaker Lab system.
- Ensure user access and security.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
- Coordinate with vendors or other IT professionals for system upgrades or maintenance
- Develop and implement training programs for laboratory staff on the LIS in multiple states.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and CLIA
- Manage a team of LIS support staff across multiple states.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or information technology
- 3+ years of experience managing an LIS system.
- Knowledge of laboratory operations and processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- 25% travel (Dallas / Fort Worth Texas area)
Preferred:
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or related field
- Experience with Cerner Millennium, Epic Beaker, Meditech LIS system
- Experience in a large, complex healthcare organization or reference laboratory
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
