Work Schedule:
Weekly Rotating Shifts Monday through Friday.
Maintenance Technicians work with an assigned shift partner. The partners (2 Techs)- follow the same rotation & work together to resolve daily events.

Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Planner & Operations Supervisor- the Maintenance Technician (Line Technician) is responsible for Maintenance of the equipment in the department. The Line Technician position is a front Line Leader of the department and throughout the business unit. They set the example for all other employees to follow. They work with groups and individuals as a leader and a coach in the effort to help each member of the team to be successful. As members of cross functional teams they are expected to represent the department in a positive fashion- contribute ideas and offer up solutions to situations that arise. They will act as leaders- coaches and as a resource for many different people and functional areas. As a result- their approach needs to be professional- honest and sincere.
This individual must understand the operations of all machines- including set-ups- changeovers- maintenance and operating adjustments- trouble shooting- repair and installation of equipment. The position requires a working knowledge of hand and shop tools. The position will require good computer skills. A key attribute for this position is the ability to lead by example.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Production:
- Check production schedule and note changes.
- Check product specifications- code dates and change over procedures for the shift.
- Coordinate with Supervisor and Line Technicians regarding production issues and conduct business accordingly.
- Keep Supervisor- Support areas and employees informed on issues that arise during their shift.
- Carry out changeovers in accordance with procedures.
- Assist with break – when necessary.
- Assist where needed during the shift to keep the line running efficiently.
Maintenance:
- Must be capable of repair- set-up and operations of all machinery in the department.
- Trouble shoot- make emergency repairs and adjustments on machines during production to minimize downtime and keep machines running at top efficiency.
- Carry out preventive maintenance work on schedule.
- Utilize the SAP System to document repairs and parts.
- Help start-up and shutdown lines.
- Help with the direction and delegation of work for efficient workflow.
- Report Quality problems to Supervisor and Quality department.
- Help employees who are learning a new job or having a problem on the job.
- Contribute towards the department’s effort to continuously improve.
Sanitation:
- Assist in general housekeeping throughout the department area – as needed.
- Follow all GMP’s.
Quality:
- Know all quality standards for products.
- Be aware of the quality problems that occur in the department and make corrections accordingly.
- Takes immediate action to correct any quality item during the shift. This includes shutting down the line.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
- Previous Manufacturing Experience Preferred but- Not required.
- Seeking individuals who work well with teams & are goal oriented.
- Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds infrequently- with or without reasonable accommodations.
