The City of Weatherford’s Public Library is looking to hire a Part-Time Library Clerk. This position will assist library staff in performing clerical work and Tech Services. If you think you’d be a good fit, we would like to hear from you.
Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Processing and collecting returned materials such as books, magazines, and audiovisual material.
- Creating and updating library accounts for borrowers and computer users.
- Advising library users of borrowing due dates, borrower’s fines, reserve fees, and damage and replacement fees.
- Directing library users to appropriate staff or departments as needed for assistance.
- Receives money and makes change for any library service transactions rendered.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR six months clerical experience involving typing/computer use.
Special Requirements
THIS POSITION IS PART TIME AND IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY CITY BENEFITS. Applications must be submitted online for consideration. Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires. Candidates selected for employment will be required to pass pre-employment checks depending on the position requirements. Pre-employment checks could include, but not limited to criminal background check, drug screen, education verification, etc. Criminal convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
