Pet Sitter / Dog Walker (Fetch! Pet Care in Alpharetta)

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Our team brings a unique blend of education, pet care passion, and knowing how to delight our customers. In this role you will travel to clients’ homes, care for their pets, and perform other client requested tasks. For the pets, this may include: feeding, walking, running, taxi, giving medication, socializing, and overall care. For the clients, it may include basic house-care, like bringing in the mail, garbage cans, or watering plants while they are on vacation.

We are looking for part-time staff.

Pet Care Professional Responsibilities:

• Provide affection and play to dogs, cats, and small animals.
• Walk pets of all shapes and sizes.
• Perform wellness checks on each animal in the home and relay any concerns to the pet owner through our software and to the manager.
• Properly feed animals and ensure fresh water, litter boxes, etc.
• Administer oral and topical medications as needed.
• Pick up pet waste and scoop litter boxes.
• Clean up any accidents in the home.
• Basic house-sitting duties such as garbage, mail, watering plants, etc.
• Maintain the safety, health & happiness of our client's pets.
• Communicate with the pet owner about each visit through the Fetch! Pet Care app.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Delight clients!
• Have open availability on weekends.
• Have flexible availability during the week to pick up visits as needed.
• Have a reliable, insured vehicle, valid driver's license, and good driving record.
• Be able to clear a background check.
• Have a passion for caring for animals, preferably with prior experience.
• Be comfortable caring for and handling different types of animals (dogs, cats, small mammals, etc.)
• Be physically capable of handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Be reliable, honest, organized, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Have exceptional communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check after a contingent offer of employment
• Bilingual (a plus!)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
