Aspirus is currently seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse - Hourly in Wausau, Wisconsin at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
The Registered Nurse Clinical Lead understands and supports the philosophy and policies and procedures of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Works collaboratively to produce, nurture and sustain a professional practice and healthy work environment that affords and enhances patient care effectiveness and efficiency through leadership to multidisciplinary teams, effective physician relationships and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This person has accountability for the overall coordination of all the Registered Nurses and other healthcare providers in the area under their direction. In collaboration with the Department Manager responsible for overseeing the functioning of the department which includes participation in direct patient care as well as ensuring appropriate resources in order to provide safe, high quality patient care.
Hours: This position is Full Time; 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period.
Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of patient care standards and team management techniques in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Previous applicable experience beneficial.
- Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. - Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
