We are currently looking for a Lead Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling data-driven strategic decisions. You will report to the Director of Operational Governance supporting the Operations Support and Innovation organization by analyzing data, providing insights and recommendations on courses of action, and developing a robust program benefits-tracking framework for several business units.
As a Lead Business Intelligence Developer, your duties will include:
- Responsible for enabling data-driven strategic decisions
- Analyst date, provide insights and recommendations on courses of action
- Develop robust program benefits-tracking framework for several business units
- Build end-to-end process for identifying and quantifying operations and financial impacts of projects and programs
- Assist in business case development to evaluate programs / projects, and systematically track the benefits that each project delivers over time
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis and apply advanced statistical algorithms for the analysis of large-scale high-dimensional data across several business domains
- Anticipate, identify, prioritize, and conduct analysis that drives meaningful, timely change on KPIs and critical objectives established by the business units.
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics or similar field
- Background and experience in statistics, computer science, data science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience working in the telecommunications or technology industry
- Proficiency in SQL tools such as MS SQL, Oracle, Big Query, and MySQL
- Experience applying BI tools such as Web Focus, Qlik View, Qlik Sense, and Power BI
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Experience developing dashboards and metrics to measure and display results, and capturing insights that drive actions and outcomes
- Experience with financial models, reporting, and forecasting, including NPV analysis
- Experience supporting business case development using detailed calculations to quantify operational savings through call reduction, automation, dispatch prevention, efficiency, or similar measures
- Agile mindset, fostering an environment for proactive analytics to quickly assess and identify potential opportunities and root cause analysis
- Experience extracting, working and joining together large, disparate data sets, transforming them into clear and actionable insights
- Experience using leading business techniques and methodologies to create forecasts to identify system impacts and expected trends
- Adept at managing competing priorities and balancing planned and ad-hoc requests
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
- Effective written and oral communications skills and experience working with executives
