Evergreen exists to help equip our employees for real life with the skills and community they need to succeed. We do that through the skilled trade of landscaping. We haven't found a single person who loves and feels their life's purpose is to dig holes, water bushes and put down sod. What we have found is there can be joy in work through community, mentoring and friendship.

Evergreen tries to offer a stable 40-hour work week with fair pay and never requires weekends. We also provide paid vacation time after 90 days that accumulates throughout the year. We understand that you have a life outside of this company and do our best to accommodate your schedule. Community is a huge part of what we do. We have a company gym where we work out together, a lot of us attend the same church, we have a twice-a-month fellowship and mentoring group and we look for ways to pour into each other and better ourselves. We have a small, full-time crew of 5 guys and are looking to add 2 or 3 people who fit with our missions and goals. Experience is not required and may or may not even be helpful to us. The Landscape Technician is responsible for performing lawncare services outdoors, in all seasons, and is accountable to the Landscape Foreman. The scheduled workdays and hours may vary depending upon workload and weather, but employees are off Saturday/Sunday and major holidays, and typically work from 8-5 through the week. The Landscape Technician assists with building and maintaining an image of quality work, excellent customer service, and trustworthy reliability and results.

Duties include:

• Performing lawncare services to include fertilization/weed control applications, landscape installation and maintenance, irrigation and hardscape installations and repairs, etc. (Note; we do not perform mowing or routine maintenance)
• Becoming proficient in the development of healthy, beautiful lawns and landscapes
• Adhering to established culture of safety and risk management
• Using/maintaining tools and equipment in a safe, appropriate manner
• Ensuring vehicles and equipment are kept in clean/safe/working condition
• Continuing professional growth, education and training
• Assisting with other assigned duties as required

Candidates must by 18 years of age or older due to insurance reasons, have a valid driver's license, and a strong work ethic. Prior experience in landscaping or construction is preferred. Candidates must be able to stand and work for 8 hours per day (walk, bend, crouch, stoop, dig, rake, push, etc), and be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
