Currently, MPG is seeking to hire experienced Laminator Operators to join our team. If you possess the required skills and experience as outlined below, please submit your resume for consideration.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a large highspeed laminator (Ecosystem AQUA 110 Foil to board laminating system)
  • Review and understand job specifications, expectations, identifying multi substrates and laminates to be used, understanding the different requirements necessary for machine set up for wet adhesive as well as thermal film and the requirements necessary for, good adhesion, a lay flat product and for the pressroom and bindery to be successful in the use of the laminated substrates.
  • Facilitate great production, meeting and or exceeding company expectations.
  • Provide a safe environment following company safety manuals, company safety procedures and initiatives.
  • Maintain continuous inspection of the substrate and film to assure quality standards are maintained to customer and company specifications and guidelines. Maintain and retain quality inspection pulls every 1,000 sheets produced.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Maintain a clean machine and complete all scheduled maintenance per the machine specifications while following all company maintenance procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain an accurate accountability of time for every job via the Enterprise data collection system.
  • Perform all other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to adequately operate the laminator and determine defects in films and substrates.
  • Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand and perform the requirements of the position up to 12 hours with a few short breaks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the manager and department personnel.
  • Willingness to abide by all plant practices and procedures.
  • Overtime is an expected requirement.
  • Ability to maintain great attendance and tardy record.
  • Good knowledge of computers.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred, Minimum three years as a lead laminator operator or equivalent.

Language Skills:

Ability to apply written and verbal instructions to set-up machine and operation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None required, but ability to operate forklifts and hand lifts a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Ability to stand on feet for up to twelve-hour shift.
