Job Summary:

Manage the kitchen staff to ensure Nebraska Ale Works product quality and time standards. Does whatever it takes to help the team provide the highest quality for our guests.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work with General Manager to manage kitchen staff, and run an efficient kitchen.
• Accomplish job with a positive attitude.
• Reviews daily food preparation list, pulling items from freezer to thaw under refrigeration prior to preparation of products.
• Prepares bakery, veggies, sauces, soups, meats and gravies.
• Portions food products according to specifications.
• Performs quality checks intermittently throughout shift.
• Follows proper safety and sanitation procedures.
• Responsible for cleaning prep area, sweeping and mopping prior to leaving.
• Receives, stores and handles food products.
• Completes assigned back-up duties as required.

Qualification Standards:

• Ability to take verbal directions.
• Ability to read, learn and prepare recipes.
• Good hand dexterity and eyesight is critical when working with kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds of food product and supplies.
• Must be able to stock, reach up to high shelving and stoop to lower shelving, while lifting food products weighing up to 20+ pounds.
• Ability to learn and follow good safety and sanitation practices required of the food service industry.
• Friendly personality is required to properly interact with fellow team members.
• Previous experience preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
