Kindergarten Instructional Aide Job Description

JOB TITLE: Kindergarten Instructional Aide EXEMPTION STATUS: Hourly

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: St. Anthony Catholic School, Oconto Falls, WI

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reporting directly to the Kindergarten teacher and Elementary School Principal, the
Kindergarten Instructional Aide will assist the Kindergarten teacher as needed.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Kindergarten teacher, the accepted candidate is responsible for assisting the
Kindergarten students in whatever is needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
✝ Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking and acting consistently with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

✝ Follows directions of the Kindergarten Teacher and Principal

✝ Helps Kindergarten students as needed in conjunction with the Kindergarten Teacher to address learning loss

✝ Supervises and/or assists students with educational activities throughout the day

✝ Work effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents.

✝ Follows basic sanitation procedures

✝ Maintain confidentiality of information, display sound judgment in dress and general behavior.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
✝ Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment; tolerate moderate to high levels of stress.

REQUIRED ACTIVITIES: Walking, sitting, standing, reaching, handling, hearing, and carrying.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
✝ Flexibility in completing the tasks as necessary determined by the Kindergarten Teacher

✝ The ability to successfully complete a background check and undergo VIRTUS training through the Diocese of Green Bay

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
✝ Experience in a classroom is preferred, but not required.
✝ High School Diploma

HOURS:
✝ Hours for the 2023/2024 academic year are from 9:00 AM-2:30 PM.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
