Position Details

Reed City Area Public Schools is seeking a positive, dedicated, and high-performing K-4 th Physical Education Teacher to inspire and challenge students at G.T. Norman Elementary.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Must be qualified and hold a valid Michigan certification (with appropriate endorsement)

Experience:

• Previous successful experience working with elementary children
• Must demonstrate the ability to seek out knowledgeable peers, coaches, and/or administrators for instructional support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate the ability to collaboratively create and execute clear, logical instructional plans that produce strong results in student learning
• Must demonstrate the desire and ability to build meaningful relationships with students in order to exert academic influence
• Possesses the capacity to align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to the individual needs of all students
• Ability to implement a tiered system of instruction within the classroom to meet the needs of all students
• Ability to evaluate students’ academic and behavioral progress
• Must improve and maintain professional competence by participating in district-provided professional educational opportunities
• Ability to withstand the physical and mental rigors of teaching
• Regular and reliable attendance and physical presence are required
