Job Description:
The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal communications strategies. This role will focus on creating, managing, and delivering internal communications to ensure that employees have the necessary information they need to be successful and engaged in their roles. The Internal Communications Manager will collaborate with various departments develop effective internal communications plans and campaigns.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
- Developing and implementing communication strategies within HomeTown Lenders based on departmental and company-wide goals and objectives
- Develop a deep understanding of the HomeTown Lenders’ mission, culture, and values
- Developing an effective internal communications strategy to meet the needs of employees across all levels
- Providing training to employees on topics related to organizational culture, workplace policies, best practices for productivity, and other topics
- Developing an effective internal communications strategy to meet the needs of employees across all levels
- Coordinating the development and implementation of internal events such as workshops, seminars, and conferences
Skills:
- Passionate belief that strategic and effective employee communications are critical elements to a successful business
- Strong history in team-based leadership, particularly the ability to influence, lead, and collaborate with a team that doesn’t directly report to you
- Ability to write in a clear, consistent, and inspiring style
- Creative in both developing and delivering content in a culturally-relevant manner
- Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills including tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to plan and execute communication strategies that are effective at multiple layers of an organization
Requirements:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or another related field.
- Experience – 3+ years of relevant experience that includes:
- Designing and leading communications programs, preferably within the mortgage industry
- Experience with internal communications strategy development and best practices
