Summary:
Broadcasters turn to Marketron when seeking to jump start and fast-track their integrated media sales efforts! In this full-time position, the Integrated Media Strategist (IMS) leads these initiatives by immersing oneself into a print, radio, or TV group’s culture and its people, simultaneously wearing the hats of trainer, coach, and subject matter expert throughout a typical 12-to-24 month engagement. The IMS is a professional services resource to the broadcaster, responsible for partnering with sales leadership to generate and grow digital marketing service revenue for the client company.
The Integrated Media Strategist is equally conversant regarding the benefits of both traditional and digital media and displays proven success at selling a large portfolio of third-party digital media solutions, including but not limited to Targeted Display, Geofencing, OTT/CTV, Paid Search (SEM), Social Media, Streaming Audio, Digital Video, and YouTube TrueView ads. They will have a robust digital acumen and be highly skilled at conducting high level consultative conversations with digital agencies, media buyers and local business owners. In addition, the IMS has superior knowledge of new and emerging digital advertising technologies and strategies.
Essential Duties (including but not limited to the following):
- Collaborates with corporate and/or local sales leaders to ensure consistency in sales methodology, terminology, and other client-driven criteria.
- Leads a series of sales training sessions to implement go-to-market strategies for both sales process and a variety of digital products.
- The IMS works with Account Executives on strategizing for sales calls, developing proposals and digital strategies, assisting on sales calls and developing opportunities that drive customer results.
- Remotely assist local account executives in "four-legged" call situations.
- Develop effective and efficient digital marketing strategies for agencies and direct clients
- Works with local Sales Managers to ensure deadlines are met and client performance is delivered as promised.
- Supports an active dialogue with Marketron Client Development Managers to ensure campaigns are aligned with desired customer outcomes.
- Creativity, flexibility, and ability to change and learn with our industry are also keys to success.
- Provides ongoing recommendations to Account Executives and clients to upsell and cross-sell multiple digital and broadcast product offerings.
Personal Characteristics and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years sales experience in broadcast and digital media sales
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Significant knowledge of digital marketing services and effective use for clients
- Ability to independently develop advanced and value based digital strategy recommendations
- Ability to analyze digital performance metrics, identify trends and make appropriate recommendations for campaign refinement and/or optimizations
- Motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, with ability to work effectively both independently and collaborating in a team environment
- Effective communication and client presentation skills
- Excellent follow-up, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Up to date on latest trends in digital marketing service industry
- Resourceful, self-motivated and skillful multi-tasker
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and ability to become proficient on digital platforms (Pitch, NXT)
- Demonstrated experience and success in new business development
- Full working knowledge of all aspects of Digital Marketing including Google Analytics, OTT / CTV Video Services, Search Engine Marketing (SEM/PPC), Targeted Display (Banner Advertising), and Social Media Advertising.
- Google or IAB DMSC Certification preferred
