Location: Remote-based; East Region located in the EST time zone.

How will you make an impact?

As the Inside Sales Representative in the Clinical Diagnostics Division, you are responsible for the sales of Quality Controls, Toxicology reagents, and related IT solutions within the hospital laboratory. You will call on assigned accounts with the purpose of retaining your current book of business while prospecting new business opportunities and expanding customer relationships within the same accounts. This position will be responsible for the Thermo Fisher portfolio of MAS Clinical Chemistry Quality Controls, AcroMetrix Molecular Quality Controls, LabLink xL QAP software, and Toxicology/TDM business. There will be opportunities for collaboration with the Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) team and outside distribution teams within the territory as well as future advancement within Thermo Fisher based on

your performance.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with laboratory and purchasing managers within the assigned territory
  • Independently make decisions; use available internal resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with outside sales teams, as appropriate; seek out broader relationships within accounts to help facilitate networking and prospecting
  • Perform sales calls and build vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone and email.
  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products and services that may be of interest to customers
  • Work weekly with your manager and participate in forums to learn best practices for Inside Sales
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for accurate management of territory
  • Attain daily metrics in call volume, customer conversations and opportunities
  • Generate leads for the Clinical Sales Specialists and be compensated for closed-won business
  • Qualify sales leads, answer customer inquiries, and maintain accurate activity records using SFDC
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times through your customer interactions

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Experience

  • 0-2 Years successful sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the following roles is a plus: recruiting & staffing, office equipment, copiers, payroll sales, or similar.

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate to the hiring manager a strong desire to succeed. They will also have a positive bias for turning education and feedback into action and continuous self-improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-orientated, able to multi-task.

  • Reside in an area with reliable internet and quality phone service.
  • SalesForce.com and Power BI experience a plus.
  • Proficient in MS office.
