We have a client who is seeking energized and experienced certified candidates for an Industrial Maintenance and PLC Electrician position in the Quad Cities, IA area!
They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician and PLC Technician to join the team, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the facilities and electrical systems.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in industrial and production settings.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, controls, and other related equipment to maximize uptime, reliability, and overall performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and malfunctions, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other industrial automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and safety personnel, to address equipment-related issues and optimize overall plant performance.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform regular inspections and assessments of facilities, electrical systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment, systems, and automation projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory, utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or other relevant tools.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve maintenance strategies and processes
QUALIFICATIONS -
Minimum:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance electrician and PLC technician, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, controls, PLC programming (such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron), and industrial automation.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, such as multimeters and PLC software.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, or other relevant industry standards and regulations.
Ideally looking for someone open to some night shifts - OT available and additional pay for any night shifts!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
