In this role you will drive improvements through all facets of the Value Stream from supplier to customer. This position is an integral part in developing a culture of continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing

• Improves process efficiency by studying work methods; testing modifications; designing new methods; recommending job/ process restructuring and manufacturing decisions
• Document and Improve workflow through process flow charts, value stream maps, system information
• Drive cost reduction in the organization through capacity analysis & improvements, eliminate waste and streamlining operations through Lean Methods, and strategic capital projects with ROI analysis
• Maintain & control plant layout with AutoCAD and change management
• Develop standards utilizing Industrial Engineering techniques including time study and work measurements, spaghetti diagrams, PFEP, material flow analysis etc.
• Launch new products by establishing work measurements, process flows, processes
• Creates & maintains Work Standards for direct labor & machine cycle times used for manufacturing performance standards
• Generates and assesses metrics for dissemination of trends that affect safety, manufacturing, quality, material flow & warehousing etc. using statistics and engineering tools
• New Product development by review of existing or new processes to provide manufacturing direction to meet product requirements and provide efficient manufacturing methods

Qualifications

• Industrial engineering experience at a manufacturing setting
• Competency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically high proficiency with Excel
• Proven work space planning and plant layout design proficiency using AutoCAD or similar

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Industrial systems engineering
• Basic Coding knowledge & experience in writing macros and VBA code are a plus
• Working knowledge of different operating systems like ERP, WMS, MES etc.
• Knowledge and application of improvement tools including PDCA, SMED, VSM, 8D Problem Solving etc
• Passion and drive to continuously improve plant operations
• Proven interpersonal & communication skills at all organizational levels
• Proven & effective facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and training skills.
