Tesla seeks motivated and accomplished Industrial Engineers who will be the subject matter experts in leading continuous improvement projects for cutting edge Energy Products and manufacturing operations at GFNY in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects Tesla's mission, philosophy, and goals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in leading the design of layout, modeling/simulation, and material flow integration to ensure data aligns with the plan and vision for the factory.
• Develop and deploy a continuous improvement framework utilizing lean principles by performing value-stream analysis simulations. Reduce scrap, rework, and cycle times.
• Work with engineering and operation teams to identify production bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to determine overall equipment effectiveness and associated improvement strategies.
• Gain buy-in from a diverse group of stakeholders utilizing data.
• Drive other projects as needed by management or as business needs change.

Requirements:

• BS or MS Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of exceptional ability.
• Extensive experience leading continuous improvement and operational excellence projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience as part of a project team prioritizing multiple continuous improvement projects.
• Demonstrated detailed analysis experience necessary to make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated strength in material flow integration, factory layout design, or factory modeling and simulation.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, Matlab, Flexsim, or related Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
