Top aerospace company is looking to add a Hypersonic Project Engineering Specialist to their growing team in Jupiter, FL.
Working with minimal direction, this position guides the successful execution of major projects and may function as a project leader driving the technical development, fabrication, test and production of engine systems.
50% - Lead or support engineering teams working on hypersonic propulsion development. Direct and coordinate multi-discipline engineering tasks to meet program requirements. Manage technical progress and cost. Interface with the program manager, product line chief engineer, the companies customers and other functional organizations to understand and develop resolution to program technical issues
30% - Researches, develops and supports fabrication of hypersonic engine systems using engineering and scientific principles. Coordinate product development from ideas through the product life cycle
10% - Provide technical consultation to program management and business development organizations on business development activities such as writing white papers or preparing and presenting technical briefings to customers
5% - Technical lead on proposals to government customers or prime contractors for propulsion development or technology programs
5% - Provide written and verbal status reports to the companies management, and provide leadership at product team meetings

Education:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or other related field) and a minimum of 7 years of experience on propulsion projects, including engineering team lead experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Engineering development, manufacturing, and supplier integration knowledge desirable.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
Salary level: $140,000.00 - $148,000.00 DOE
