As part of the global financial system team, this position contributes to Watts success by supporting our complex and integrated global business operations. By supporting the day-to-day operations of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and related applications, this role will help drive the month-end financial close process and provide user support, such as troubleshooting, input on business requirements, system maintenance, training and process enhancements. Given the dynamic business environment, HFM will be a constantly evolving application, and as such will require processes and controls that maintain the integrity of the system and are flexible enough to change based on the needs of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Demonstrate and apply appropriate understanding / knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls; ensure proper accounting procedures are followed
  • Support global business needs for the monthly financial close, Planning/Forecasting, and other financial processes by conducting pre-close activities, monitoring task completion and informing users of system outages
  • Help ensure completeness of financial submissions for all locations, including final validations
  • Support administration (setup and maintenance) of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE) environment including financial templates, mappings, consolidation rules, metadata, end-user access & security
  • Support application enhancements through requirements gathering, reviewing, testing and implementing change requests
  • Work with Watts IT and the server hosting vendor on infrastructure, software upgrades, backup and recovery procedures and regular maintenance
  • Serve as a main contact for Regional and Business Unit Finance teams for issues and questions; maintain training material for new employees
  • Work closely with Corporate Financial Reporting group to assist with external reporting requirements including Cash Flow reporting and other disclosures
  • Support Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team including production of financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested
  • Ensure the integrity of our financial statements by promptly investigating and reporting any inconsistencies or improprieties
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or Accounting
  • Posses 2+ years of financial reporting and consolidations experience; HFM administration and FDM rule development preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude for presenting through verbal and written communications
  • Strong people skills to work closely with and support internal customers
  • Willing to accommodate flexible working hours at times to accommodate global partners, especially during the monthly close and planning cycles and for system maintenance
  • Willing to work Full-time or Part-time for 25 - 29 hours weekly

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
