Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Tactical Aviation and Weapons Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Lexington Park, MD.

Responsibilities:

Assimilates aviation weapon system and mission planning updates. Provides operations manual content and technical support to related mission software releases. Creates and implements initial operational through instructor level training products. Provides onsite training to instructor aircrew and ground crew personnel. Utilizes aviation and training experience to improve training products. Training products include courseware, briefings, manuals, and checklists using MS Office software tools.

Plans, monitors, and manages projects from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. Develops and implements standard operating procedures to improve the effectiveness of training projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Fixed Wing Naval or Marine Corps Aviator or Naval Flight Officer, or a Weapon System Officer.

• Subject matter expertise level knowledge and experience of tactics employment of weapons by fleet aircrew as well as use of covered datalink keys and equipment.

• Able to provide professional training, briefings and technical guidance to weapons training and support teams.

Desired Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Naval Aviation tactics course like; Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor School (TOPGUN), Marine Aviation Weapons Training Squadron-1 (MAWTS-1) Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI) graduate, Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS), or Electronic Attack Weapons School (EAWS). Familiar with Foreign Military Sales

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicated with co-workers, management, and customers. Which may involve delivery presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Secret Security Clearance required. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.

• U.S. Citizenship required
