This position exists to provide installation and maintenance of the HVAC systems on campus.

Essential Functions

• Order materials
• Layout, cut and fabricate ductwork
• Install ductwork and diffusers on the job
• Maintain all equipment used in the fabrication and installation of ductwork
• Fabricate specialty items (cadaver tables, cabinets, shelf brackets, sinks, etc.)

Experience:

This position requires 3 years’ experience in commercial sheet metal fabricator and installer with a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems

Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:

• Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems
• This position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and compile material lists accordingly.
• A working knowledge of current State and local codes regarding HVAC and Air Balancing in the state of Utah is desired.
• HVAC training/certification and Tabb certification is preferred.
• This position prefers an HVAC Apprenticeship Certificate. This position will be asked to become certified in Air Balancing.

Environment: Frequent exposure to unfavorable conditions such as all-weather, or working in cramped, very dirty, or unpleasant quarters
