DEFINITION: This position performs the administrative aspects of Human Resource operations and benefit programs, consistent with ASM Global policies. Coordinates and prepares payroll for transfer to third party payroll processor in compliance with state and federal wage/hour requirements & ASM Global policy.
TASKS:
Follows ASM Global payroll policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting payroll functions. In addition, maintains compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements. Process (timely) bi-weekly payroll with third party payroll processing entity Manage all payroll information needed to transmit accurate payroll to third party payroll processing entity, to include maintaining all data flies and filing systems: (a) time sheets and tips; (b) new hire Information; (c) rate change; (d) terminations; (e) benefit updates, and other employment master file changes. Verifies accuracy of all employee benefit invoices Point of contact for payroll related inquiries from various sources (both internal and external) Track union employees for enrollment, dues, and benefits Maintain vacation and sick leave balance spreadsheets for all eligible employees. Able to maintain and troubleshoot electronic timekeeping system. Produce month end payroll reporting and reconciliations. Prepare EEO report on monthly basis. Maintain historical personnel records. Follows ASM Global Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment. Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all facility personnel. Performs recruitment activities. Writes and places advertisements. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems. Gather all work comp related information (employee information, witnesses, photographs, etc.) for insurance company. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Organizes corporate benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Serves as the COBRA and FMLA Administrator for the facility. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Other duties/assignments when asked of you.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Requires 1 to 2 years data entry experience. Requires computerized payroll experience, Including familiarity with payroll related labor laws. Preferred 1-2 years of HR Generalist experience. Must be able to use a numerical keypad with minimal errors Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, employees and third-party vendors. Must be able to multi-task. Good knowledge of Excel, and accurate filing skills required. Must be able to keep confidential Information secure. Requires a willingness to work additional hours as needed, which could include odd hours and weekends. Requires attention to detail, good organizational skills and must be friendly and courteous.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Associates degree in accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in HR and/or Payroll related field.
  • Experience with Workday HCM Software System, ABI Master Mind timekeeping system, and ADP Payroll Processing is preferred. (Or other similar software applications)
  • The above can be met by a combination of education and training or experience.
